Marriage RetreatsSince 1976 Rick has offered a variety of retreat, seminar and banquet presentations for groups and organizations. Listed below are brief topical presentations that are often requested on our Marriage Retreats. These are 1 or 2 day retreats that are often held in overnight settings.

Topics have included communications, problem solving, enhancing your mates self-esteem, affair proofing the marriage, maintaining sexual unity in marriage, couple attachment and emotional intimacy, playfulness and a variety of other topics.

Marriage Retreat #1 - Roles, Relationships and Responsibilities

Marriage RetreatsThis weekend retreat is one of the three programs in the healthy marriage series. This informative engaging retreat offers couples an opportunity to explorer gender differences in marriage, examine needs that each partner brings to the relationship, and gain knowledge of practical strategies that manage emotional reactions in couple conflict. The underlying theme of trust, mutual giving, and the spiritual covenant of marriage will be woven throughout this presentation. Format includes leader presentation, fun interactive experiences, and private time for couple sharing.

  

Marriage Retreat #2 - Couple Connection 

Marriage RetreatsA weekend retreat in the healthy marriage series designed to build and enhance couple friendship, fun and emotional connection in the marriage. In this two-day retreat the leader presents information about marriage myths and truths, the effects of children on couple closeness, along with the seven principals that make marriage work and the spiritual basis of a covenant relationship.

The format allows for leader presentation, group discussion, fun interactions and private couple sharing.

 

Marriage Retreat #3 - Friendship, Dreams and Meanings

Marriage RetreatsRetreat three is a more in-depth look at the seven principles that make marriage work. While not required, having been through the second retreat will allow couples to examine in-dept:

 1.  Friendship 2.  Fondness and Admiration 3.  Acceptance and Rejection in daily experiences 4.  Learning to understand and accept perpetual differences 5.  How to solve solvable problems 6.  Overcoming stalemated issues 7.  How to create shared hopes, dreams and meanings 8.  An emphasis will be made on deepening the covenant relationship.
