Over the course of years he has acquired extensive training in attachment based care. His practice provides treatment for children and parents from across the nation. His work with international adoption has involved him with children from Russia, Romania, China, Haiti, The Philippians, and Africa. As a Registered Clinician with the Association for the Treatment and Training in the Attachment of Children (ATTACh), Mr. Sudsberry provides compassionate, confidential services.
Mr. Sudsberry is a Diplomat of the American Board of Forensic Counselors (DAFBC). He provides evaluations, expert witness testimony, depositions and reports around the assessment needs of children (See Forensics).
Rick Sudsberry has been a speaker throughout the Midwest, and East Coast. He conducts seminars and workshops for families, schools, churches, and agencies. He has been a conference workshop presenter and a keynote speaker for national and regional conferences. Mr. Sudsberry has written for newspapers and produced several school and parent manuals. In addition he has written a chapter in a book for the University of Nebraska, a manual for Purdue University. Mr. Sudsberry has self published a parenting book entitled Relationship Parenting, Raising Secure Children in an Insecure World. and an E-book, Raising Children in the 21st Century. Mr. Sudsberry is presently working on a book for foster and adoptive parents and professionals.
Mr. Sudsberry's work has been influenced by a variety of attachment approaches. His relationship focus is always directed at creating communication that enhances security, and regulates emotions for children through caregiver leadership. His goal is to help each family member create a healthy connection to one another.
